Hi,
after 6 yrs the debt is statue barred and non enforcable. If you look in the letter template section there are some examples of letters you can send them to say you have no intention of paying the debt as its statue barred and they should then leave you alone. Sorry, dont know how to put a link on here for the letter but you should find one written by some lovely people on this website x0 -
if you have had no contact at all then this will be barred http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=26870341#post26870341

Lol. They do buy old debts on the off chance for ridiculous amounts hoping that they will get a result from someone panicked into paying them. 10p may be a low amount, perhaps £1 is more realistic! Depends how much the original debt was for really! x0 -

Assume you mean its 13 years since you last made any payment towards it? Also that there is no CCJ for this debt? Providing those conditions are met then yes it would be statute barred.
If they come back with any response (other than okay we agree its SB) then come back for more advice as some companies have been known to tell [STRIKE]'fibs'[/STRIKE] stinking great lies to make people believe they have to pay.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
