They are part of the Yorkshire Building Society, they offer intermediary only deals. I dont know how they compare in terms of 'scoring' with other companies, they used to offer a mix of prime and sub prime products - perhaps one of the mortgage people can comment on the situation now.

In my case the application to offer was done within 5 working days with absolutely no problems at all, for what it is worth they answer their telephones quickly and are very pleasant.

I hadnt heard of them, read around on here and they seemed to be more associated with self cert and poor credit mortgages - however they do offer prime mortgages at what seemed at the time a really good rate (4.69% fixed for 5 years as off 04/09).

They recently increased their SVR from 5.29% to 5.99% - dont know if any of this is helpful at all, but there you go, the sum total of my knowledge about Accord Mortgages.

Building Societies tend to be less hindered by and less and focused on credit scoring, and instead use the old fashioned Human approach.

I find the Stroud and Swindon to be particualry useful, but make no mistakem Human underwriters no all the tricks!
