Can anyone tell me do you have to boil carton juice to get rid of preservative ?
I made some Ribena wine (it's too sweet)and I had to boil that.
Lidl have got an offer on apple juice 2x1.5litre cartons for £1:T
also does anyone have a good recipe using the afore mentioned ?
    Thanks:)

i tried to make wine from ribena ages ago, it was one of the first that i tried and it didn`t turn out too well :(

Not sure if it was my inexperience at the time or if it was the preservatives, i hoped that it was the latter and i tried using other juices but made sure that i picked ones with no nasties in from then on and everything else has been fine.

I tend to use Morrisons for my white grape juice and also the apple juice. They do an apple that is not from concentrate and it always makes lovely wine.

All the juice wine that i drink is based on this recipe here
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=11740867&postcount=363

I make 2 gallons at a time with half a litre of white grape, one litre of apple juice and 2lb sugar to each demijohn.

It always turns out lovely the OP of the reicipe deserves a medal cos she`s saved me lots by posting this. I`d never made wine before and now i`m trying allsorts of recipes out :D

    Good luck.
