Old debt following me round

If there has been a 6year period where no payments were made (to anyone creditor or DCA), no written acknowledgements were made and there is no CCJ then the debt is statute barred
Once it becomes statute barred legally it can never stop being statute barred. Thats the law, once statute barred, always statute barred. SB means the debt still exists but you do not legally have to pay it.
So was there 6years between original default and when you started paying again? This is the important timescale and you need to work it out. It sounds like there was, in which case you would send the SB template letter (see here - http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=25_liability_for_debts_and_the_limitation_act)
Until you send it they are allowed and will hassle you for the money.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

So, yes, it's money saving - pay your loan back so the rest of us don't have to on your behalf.[/QUOTE]
In other words, you want the OP to suffer and pay back some money that he might get away with so that you can be better off lol.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

While I'm not going to jump down your throat like many others have done, I really do think you should think about paying this debt back. I have debts that are almost 6 years old and I am still looking to get them paid off.
All I'm saying is, is it worth running away from the debt just so you don't have to pay it?0 -

You are looking for advice on how to dodge a debt you owe. That's head towards theft not money saving.
Also, if you don't like the responses then don't post. It's a public forum.
This site seems HELL BENT nowadays on welcoming all kinds of pond life and advising them on how to dodge legitimate debt!
It's people like the OP, that DELIBERATELY dodge their liabilities and make it worse for the rest of us.In other words, you want the OP to suffer and pay back some money that he might get away with so that you can be better off lol.
Why should i be worse off for someone that doesn't pay their bills?
If them being broke means more money in my pocket (and people such as me that actually pay their bills), why should i care?0
