Encash small pension plan?

Hi,

I am planning to move to Spain, I am 25 and intend to start a Spanish pension with my new company when I get there.

I have worked for a company here for 12 months and have been paying into a group pension scheme. My employer also contributed to this scheme.

Is there anyway I can ask for a refund or encashment of funds as I know the Spanish provider will not take these funds on and there is no point in having a pension pot in the UK of just over £1,200.

Any help on how I can get this money back would be appreciated.

The short answer is no. You can't access the money until you are at least 55.

Speak to your scheme administrator. Some company schemes will refund your contributions if you leave before 2 years
