mortage credit search

Hi, is it correct that all mortgage searches in 14 days count as 1 search? Also do mortgage companines always get upto date credit reports? Having some troubles as mistakes were on my credit file. These have now been removed but when i tried to reapply the mortgage company said mistakes still there but there report was old, think they used same report as first time as only 3 days between first and second application.

No not correct........Obtain a copy of you report before applying again to ensure "mistakes" are removed......

Got my creidt file and its now clear, broker pleaded with abbey to redo application but it failed again, she was not happy as they said i had a default but she had my new report and it was clear, then in the conversation it turned out they were using an old copy of my credit report(was this from my first application?). After my broker doing much complaning they asked for a copy of the report and a letter saying i had the default removed, gave this to them on friday so waiting to here back, not holding out much hope as she said it was a fight to get them to help, im porting so really need to stay with them or £3000 fee.

Well i dont know who has it now but i hope they take the time to look at it. Me and the wife having a terrible time this week as we got our dream house but cant get the mortgage. Had to sort out extra funds incase we need to go to another company but are worried they wont have the latest credit report.
