Looks like we may have to go into rented accomodation until then. Don't want to lose the sale on our house for the sake of this. Even though he may be back at work before the mortgage went through - do you think?

if you rented it would potentially put you in a stronger position to negotiate a good price on any house you would be buying as you would not have a property to sell.

re. the life insurance - it may now go up as your OH had had a DVT? is he being checked out to ensure he doesn't have an underlying susceptibility for developing one (besides the immobility)?

So what's the consensus? Shall I call up my mortgage provider and ask their advice tomorrow. I was hoping to put in my offer on the house I wanted tomorrow!
Feel gutted but I can understand the arguments why.
