Need a Photographer

I'm looking for some really comtemporary photography of my dog as a wedding present for my future husband. I passed Venture photography on the Lisburn Road and saw a set of 12 pics of a dog's face and they looked really cool. Went in and they said that particular set up would cost around £2,000!
We can't possibly afford that, anyone know of a local photographer who could perhaps do something similar for a lot less?

Does it have to be a photographer? My next door neighbour got a local artist to do a portrait of their gun dug as a pressie for her hubbie's birthday. The end product is incredibly life like (it's currently hiding in my spare room ready to be unveiled at the surprise party).
The website is http://www.jimmymcneill.com
From the prices on the website he is a lot cheaper than the photographer you mentioned and you would have something totally unique.0 -
Well my future mother in law is a professional artist and we have some lovely portraits of the dog, I was really looking for something really contemporary and "real" because this guy is so in love with this dog he's considering a tatoo!
I know he's sad! lolMy Doctor told me that "1 out of 3 people who start smoking will eventually die." The other two apparently became immortal.

It really depends on how much you are willing to spend.
Your best option might be to take some pictures yourself using a digital camera in natural light (ie good close-ups outside on a sunny day if possible) and use your budget to have a good quality large framed print made.
Whatever you do, don't ask your prospective wedding photographer to take the dog's pic as an extra. Mention the W word to anyone providing a service (restaurant, DJ, band, photographer) and they really seem to stick the arm in. Perhaps this judgment isn't fair to all of them but it certainly seems the case for the most part.0 -
Hi Mirakl
Am sending you a PM about this - hope you don't mind!

Hi,
I'm a hobbyist photographer from Belfast. I have experience of working with dogs, and I can get some good photos of your dog for you. I can leave you the negatives if you would like, so you can get your own custom prints made.
It really shouldn't be that expensive at all.
Where would you like the photos of the dog taken? If you're after contemporary shots, maybe around the house would be good? We can work on that anyway, and try different locations + scenes.
If you want to contact me, send me a PM.
thanks,

It depends on how nearby etc you are, if you can let me know how much you'd ideally like to pay & where you are I can check for you?0
