Jeans that don't give you builder's bum?!!

Hey all

I am fed up of jeans that slip down and give me builder's bum!

Can anyone recommend some good, sturdy, cheapish jeans that don't move?!

I'm size 20-22. I'm tall (5ft11) and have muffin top so can't wear low waisted jeans. I seem to have a longer than normal length from my waist to crotch, which is why I seem to struggle with jeans.

I normally wear jeans from Dorothy Perkins, and like wide leg as they are more flattering.

I live in jeans for work (I do a lot of outdoorsy stuff) and also need some nice jeans for outside work.

Any help/pointers would be much appreciated

Have you looked in M&S? I have a lovely pair of high (on the waist) jeans that wash and wear well. Think they were only £15!
  • I bought some Moda jeans from ASDA on the recommendation of a friend - they are really good, I have a high waist too, and find builders bum a problem in many jeans, especially when you are busy and bending a lot - its not a good look! The Moda ones fit nicely, and no builders bum!

Just looked on the ASDA website, and they only have 1 pair online labelled as Moda, and it says they are out of stock - may be worth checking in your loacal shop though.. hope they have more in!

  • Thanks both.

I have 4 M&S's, 2 Asda's and an Asda Living near by so finger's crossed I'll find a good pair!!

I also have jeans from M and S which sit on the waist which I actually find a bit uncomfortable wish they were just a little bit lower they are Per Una, and also some Next jeans are high waisted.

  • I find that Next jeans are good for not slipping down. And really comfy too!

I wouldn't recommend getting from Tesco, i bought a pair a few weeks ago and they literally revealed nearly half my bum when i sat down! not a good look!

This is what I find happens to mine at the moment!!

But they are a year old so I guess the give in them has gone :rotfl:

I hate shopping for new jeans but I'll have to bite the bullet this week. I work with teens (mainly boys) so I really can't go round flashing them!!

Do you buy your jeans 'to fit'?

One tip for not falling out of them is to buy them a size too small. jeans have a natural 'stretch' in them anyway, so if you buy them a bit on the tight side, by the time they stretch, they should fit like a dream.
You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....

Make sure whatever you get that the elastic is good quality- you can get jeans that fit great in the shops but given a few hours the elastic has stretched and wont fall back into shape until its been washed again.
I don't know about everyone else but I do seem to find the more expensive jeans stay in shape for longer (much longer!) try TKMaxx?
