Advice needed re mortgage broker

Hi this is my first post and I'm hoping for some advice.
I have sold my house, and was in the process of buying another house which has now fallen through just as we were about to exchange contrcts.
I had arranged my mortgage with Abbey, through a broker for the house I was buying, he was charging a fee of £499, reduced to £399 as I had dealt with him previously.
I have since found another property, and need to proceed quickly so as not to lose my buyer.
I had a few problems with my mortgage broker once the complications arose over my previous purchase, and I don't want to use him again, however, I do still need a mortgage, and the one I had been accepted for through him, still seems the best offer on the market for me at the moment.
My questions are, if I apply direct to Abbey, for the same mortgage, on a different property, will I still be liable to pay his fee?
Will it be viewed as an entirely new mortgage application, as the deal included a free valuation? I had a free valuation on the previous property, would I be eligible for a free valuation on this new property, or will I now be liable to pay the valuation fee?
Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks
Thanks

it will be a new application, Abbey have reduced their rates recently also so you may even get a better deal by re applying. I'm not sure if you will get a free valuation by going directly to them, give them a ring and see.Happily an ex mortgage broker!0

Thanks, I'll get in touch with them & re-apply independently.0
