Hi all,
I have been living in my HA home since May 2003. I had some arrears back in 2007 which were around £2500 due to an error in housing benefits. I reduced this debt to £700 and more or less cleared them when I began a full time midwifery degree at uni. Due to another error in housing benefits I was left with arrears of over £2000.
I currently have an independant tribuneral taking place for these oustanding monies.
A notice for seeking possession was recieved in March 09
I have been paying £100 off the arrears since SEpt 09 along with the rent re[payments, however I my cooker broke down in Dec and I also received a CSA payment plan for my son from a prev relationship. Decembers payment was missed as a result.
I spoke to my landlord last week who have said they have to take me to court now as I had missed one payment and the arrears have not gone down much. They said they werent going for possession just a solid plan.
At the time of the call I was £1800 in arrears but a HB payment for £300 was due this week and I am due to pay £280 on the 19th of this month
so I suspect the actual arrears are around £14-1500.
I have received a possession order yesterday.
In the possession order it has a chart with 3 coloumns....amount required...amount paid and date. This states amount of rent required and states 0 paid, and the accumulative arrears.
I receive £300 just under a month housing benefit.
I am a full time student with a stay at home partner as he cares for the children (my course is full time 37.5 hrs per weeks includes shift work on placements.)
I have 4 children..
I am really worried about loosing my home and have no idea what to do now?
I have to submit this court form within 14 days, pls can anyone help?

Im sorry to hear the HB has been messed up twice, something you could certainly put in your defence. As i dont know about this, and you don't want to loose the home. You need professional advice. If you give national debtline a call they should be able to help you out a bit.
