in all honesty i do not have a clue how i find time to sew. i'm up at half seven to get ready for work, out the door at nine. at work till 6 then straight to the gym so i don't get home for dinner till 8. so by the time i sit down to do anything it's 9 and i'm gettin tired for bed, yet somehow i manage to make funky clothes and even make a little money out of commision pieces.0

Well done you!
I have the day off work today, so I'm going to give the machine a hammering!0 -

I've been on a roll this week though and made lots of lovely new things. It is so much more satisfying than buying clothes isn't it? Quicker too if you factor in the time it takes to trawl the shops.
Absolutely! I've always hated turning up at functions and finding someone else in the same clothes. I much prefer to do my own thing although now I'm getting old and grey I'm just sticking to the basics (with a twist if my tired old brain can come up with something).
Good for you, enjoy wearing all your new stuff. I'm actually in a bit of a slump myself atm, I have two boring white shirts I HAVE to make for a choir do in a couple of weeks' time which are driving me mad so I'm taking my own advice and doing a few minutes at a time. Seems to be working, I've almost finished one of them
(only been making them for about three weeks  )
Happy stitching!
