On my 8th month of BR. I had a very old tv that has now given out! Has anyone ever had an experience with Hiring a TV while on BR?

Can you not get a old crt, plenty of perfectly even fairly new crt are being thrown away at the tip because people now want Plasma/LCD. You could ask on freecycle

Dont get a tv on credit like bright house etc its a utter rip off

just done a quick search online and you can get a new 22" LCD for £160 quid, as save money says there are probably places where you can get second hand ones cheaper try local pawn shops

  • A lot of people have them for free on freecycle as long as you can collect.... at the end of the day untill you can get the "one of your dreams" go with second hand or better "FREE" Don't go near places like brighthouse agree with savemoney they are a total rip off

  • Thanks guys i didnt even realise about freecycle! Dont worry i wont go near brighthouse!!
  • Can i add though, if you have a IPO in place you can add the hire of a tv/video to your SOA this is a allowable expense if i remember correctly

  • Local auction house ? anywhere between £5-10 for a 28-32 crt usually , just plug in the wall at auction to test it works , ( no picture obviously ) .
