Chicken, Lime & Coconut Parcels Slow Cooker

Hi
Hope someone can help. I am cooking chicken breasts with thai style ingredients. Was supposed to be thighs in banana leaves and you steam for 2 and a half hours but adapting to breasts in foil and hoping to cook in slow cooker. Going to wrap each in foil with the paste and place in slow cooker with balls of foil and some water in base (so they are raised out of water).
Anyone think this is a good idea and how long would it take? Or should I just cook in oven with water? Your expert help would be great.
Thanks

Sounds good to me! If you wrap them in foil you shouldn't need water in the slow cooker or the oven. Not sure about timings. I tend to do things a bit too long!!0

Thanks for this, unfortunately I got the reply to late & by this time we were tucking in to the first course. I tried to fit in slow cooker, but was too small so ended up cooking for 40 mins in the oven & they were perfect. Thanks anyway. Shogs0

This thread is worthless without recipes

It sounds scrumptious :j0 -
Ha ha, you are of course correct. Heres the link

I made it without the banana leaves and cooked in greaseproof paper & tin foil in the oven for 40 mins & also with chicken breast (so perhaps a useless link but never mind). Served it with thai rice with lime & corriander mixed in. Def be cooking again. Enjoy.0
