seriously having dress wobbles!

I ordered my dress last year, its being made by a dress maker and i fell in love with it as soon as i tried it on. but.. theres always a but!!!... When i went to get measured last weekend they had the new styles in and while i still love the whole shape oy my dress and dont want to change that part, its the fine detail i am wobbling about.

the dress has diamante design which is basicaly glued on diamantes which itself does look stunning but last week the new styles have crystals sewn on which i liked better. I asked her if it was possible to change the design but she sort of put me off the idea. i really think i would like to change it and wouldnt mind paying as i am changing my design so with it being sewn on it would cost more.

heres my dress(only putting it on for a while just incase!!)

this is the sample dress which is in gold and silver, and has detail at the bottom. I am having just the detalil at the top and either just silver or silver and sage green to match bridesmaids.

i would like opinions on wether i am being silly or not!!

thanks

It probably takes longer to sew the crystals on and that's why she's trying to put you off

    You dress is lovely :D

I think she is trying to put you off because it takes longer to sew on crystals and different crystals need to be purchased rather than stick with the glued on diamantes which are flatter. She may be putting you off because she would have to sew them on and perhaps she's not confident of doing that or she doesnt have time and thinks that you should stick to your original plan in case you start constantly changing your mind and becoming a bridezilla:eek:

Chel has it in one! It's going to depend on the dressmakers schedule as hand stitching sequins/diamantes is a time consuming job!
I have a job pending which is for August and has a VAST amount of sequins and tiny beads that all need to be hand stitched. It's going to take hours!!!! Of course, I have discussed this with the client and she is paying accordingly. Timescale wise I need to start asap.
Have another chat. It may have nothing to do with the job in hand but the timescale and other clients she has on her books.
Worth having a chat with her to see if the design can be simplified.
