thanks everyone, i found a daewoo one on dixons website 30 quid cheaper at least than anywhere else - quite impressed by their communication so far too

i had a look on coment clearance - hadn't come across that before, thanks realbairn - but i was surprised that they weren't that much cheaper by the time i added delivery onto it

I'm glad I mentioned Dixons then. Did you ask on here for any discount codes - i did and got an extra 5% off.

(i thought Comet was free delivery)

Beware of Comet clearance website, they take a small credit card payment then pay it back just to verify your card, banks see this as suspect and has resulted in my card being stopped twice.
i would recommend John Lewis own brand and you also get the 2 yr guarentee with them. Their delivery men were the most helpful and careful i have ever had when getting white goods.
