DMP and mortgage

Hi, I wonder if anyone can offer me any advice. I have been on a DMP for about 3 years, all going well, payments up to date. I have been thinking about moving closer to my place of work as the commute is horrible and I'm spening a fortune on petrol. However, my mortgage company C&G have said they will not give me another mortgage, even if I am downsizing. Frustrating as I would be able to pay off some debt if I sold this house. I do not want to step off the property ladder and renting is more expensive than my mortgage anyway. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

If you are on a Managed Plan you could maybe get some info from the provider. ( I hope that you are with a non-fee-charging org!)
You would need to tell them anyway.
