credit rating

hi i just wondered if anyone can help.

On my credit report which I am slowly rebuilding to be more positive. It shows as having a defaulted agreement with close motor finance. Although this is correct, the loan was settled in approx july 2009. Can anyone tell me, should this show on my credit report and show positivly that the agreement is settled and lender has all there money. As currently the account still shows as defaulted and money owed.

thanks.

paul.
