Notice of sums in arrears, but not

Had a hire purchase agreement with welcome finance that i ended just before xmas. I got a phone call from them after the bank holidays etc and explained everything, so a voultarily termination went on my account and i paid 1 last payment for Dec.
I got a phone call on the 4th Jan to ask if collection of the vehicle was okay for the 7th Jan. So thats when the car went.
I got a breakdown of payments and what i owed etc for the agreement ending.
Then i got a charge of £25 for late payment in Dec, so had to ring them and that was cancelled because the charge wasn't correct as it was only late because i had to cancel the DD with ending the agreement.
Then get this notice of sums in arrears for £357.22 today, tried ringing them, no one to speak to who would normally deal with my account.
Do i just ignore it and not waste my time contacting them about it? Obviously a big mis commucation on there part as someone dealt with me VT the agreement and organised collection of the vehicle, yet this information hasn't filtered down to everyone hence the notice of sums of arrears.

Recorded delivery means nothing though.
I sent my letter to VT my agreement this way and had proof of delivery on the 23rd Dec. I cancelled my DD thinking i wouldn't owe Decs payment (silly mistake on my part)
I got a phone call on the 28th asking why id missed Dec payment, explained to them that id send a recorded delivery letter VT my agreement and had proof of delivery for the 23rd. Told they'd not received anything, so told them address i had sent it to (Nottingham), told my account was at Lincoln.
So the VT didn't go on my account until the 28th, they processed it over the phone. I then said id sent a letter because thats what the agreement said. The same person who did the VT organised the collection of the vehicle and sent a breakdown of my payments to confirm the end of the agreement.
Long post i know, but my point is i never got any acknowledgement of my recorded delivery letter that i sent in Dec. It was sent to the address that was on my agreement, how was i mean't to know my account was in Lincoln.
This letter i have got today, again has the Nottingham address, the same one i sent the other letter too.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160
