Question for the Scottish contingent..

I want to make cranachan, but we dont like, or have, any whisky. Would you think it might taste ok done with port instead ? Don't want to just try it because it will waste all the cream....

    Hi ya,
Only ever done it with Whisky, but I did make a cranachan cheesecake without any alcohol if that helps!

That will be fine- I have made it once with Baileys and put choc flake on the top. Even missed out the whisky once hehe but that wasn't popular

Mmm, a Bailey cranachan sounds lovely...I'm heading to a late Burns night tomorrow - might try and make one of them to take around!

I`m another Scot who doesn`t like whisky. I`d just do it without any alcohol and put in a few more raspberries.......cos I like them.
