Lloyds TSB uncooperative with my CCCS DMP

Hi all,
Just need to vent!!!
I have a CCCS DMP and have been managing my debts for nearly a year now.
I have paid off my Barclaycard and knocked lumps off a Barclays Loan.
However, My Lloyds TSB Overdraft is not shifting - For illustration it was £2010. And they are getting £43 a month of my DMP
Heres why -
It is a Gold account, which carries a £12 monthly charge. Lloyds TSB however class this as "spending" and each month revoke my DMP agreement, remove my overdraft limit and apply a charge to the accout for being over my limit.
I then phone them up, speak to India, and get the DMP setup again. And low and behold, this all happens again next month.
I have spoken to somebody in July, August, Dec and Jan about getting the account downgraded. Each time they have agreed and acknowledged my previous call. After the Dec call, I sent LTSB Collections in Hove a letter, offering F&F settlement for £1000. Heard nothing back. Called them in Jan, and got through to actual Hove.
They explained my letter had been rejected, and that I have shown a "poor history" in keeping to my DMP. I ranted and raved and they accepted I was in the right and suggested I write to complaints. I ranted some more, and the guy said that he "wasn't supposed to do this" but he would "bump my account to recovery" where it would be frozen and become a debt. At which point I can make a F&F offer and it would most likely be accepted.
Its now been nearly 2 weeks. No letter (as promised) to confirm i'm "in recovery", account is still showing on internet banking as a gold account, and they have charged me another £72 in Overdraft Charges.
Current Balance - £1998. In 11 Months I have managed to shrink it by £12 disgraceful.

    Grrrr, how frustrating for you.

You say you have spoken to the 4 times about getting the account downgraded. I would write telling them you wish to stop using the account and downgrade from the gold account.
Also ask them to send you details of their formal complaint procedure and say that if the matter is not resolved you will complain to the FOS.

And just keep hassling them (actually Lloyds seem to be one of the more difficult to deal with so you are not alone)

  • Just a quick note on a my success today.
I phoned the recovery team and explained everything that had gone on, and backed this up with an email to Eric Daniels - CEO Lloyds Banking Group.
Either way, my accounts has finally been downagraded, and I have recieved a £380 refund to the account.

    Result!!!
