Creditors refusing to deal with me

I have recently become unemployed and unable to fulfil my contractual agreements with creditors due to only receiving JSA. I have written to creditors explaining the situation and some have been fine and put me on a debt management plan of my requested £1 per month. However, others (Santander, Capital one) have refused to accept my offer unless I go through a 3rd party debt management company. I am of the understanding that these 3rd party companines will only take on this role if i can afford a substantial monthly payment. Are there any free ones that can help?

there are a few different debt charities which do these things, the usualy ones recommended are CCCS, payplan and CAB - these are all free so any repayment you can afford gets paid to the creditors, so i would advise you contact them as soon as you can!Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0
