help with endowment policy everything has been ok all the years. now i have the money of the payout and only including the terminal bonus will it pay the mortage. i rang and all they sad was the money shares go up as well as down . i checked the share of the company and their shares ok to a little drop in the last two months but considering not over the passage of time.

I dont see what you have to complain about. You have an endowment which has paid off the mortgage and provided a small surplus.

Investment returns today cannot be compared with 20 years ago because we dont have the same economy or inflation as we did back then. In real terms you are much better off than had those conditions persisted.

Be happy your endowment did what it was designed to do. I am sure many out there wish theirs would end up like yours.

No need to ring and offer them the surplus, you get to keep that on top of the mortage being cleared. You must have been very pleased!

the mortage did not make the amount.. only with the inclusion of the terminal bonus could it pay.... due to it started 20 years ago i get no come back.... and all the time i have and even last year the mortage will pay of the mortage

the endowment gave no terminal bonus spare it was needed to pay the mortage..
