Kerry`s Valentines Craft

Over on http://crafts.peteandkerry.com/?p=1152 Kerry has created some fab little Valentines Gifts using some simple card stock, papers and ribbon.

I haven`t posted this in the Valentines thread as I figured these don`t just have to be Valentines Gifts and can be adapted to make party bag fillers, easter gifts, christmas gifts etc.

  • great link thank you x
  • Thankyou Princesspoppypop. These are really beautiful. I was hoping to make something like this for party bags as I have some special pens and hair clips. However, I would like to make some that stand up on their own.

I haven't made anything like this before - I tried playing around with a basic piece of card, I didn't want to buy a hole punch until I saw whether these would work or not. I was just wondering if anybody has any suggestions how to amend the 'pattern' so they can stand up or is that just not going to work?!

Thank you for your help and patience with a clueless novice :-).

I reckon if you double(ish) the size of the bottom of the pattern it should stand alone... play around and see what works!

Thanks for the link Princess, I spent all afternoon drooling over her fantastic work and I'm now desperate to start making things! :j
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

  • Thanks very much Birdie85 - I shall have a go. I have had a play with them as they are and they look great but I shall definitely have a play around with a wider base.
