Freezing rules

ok,
we have been having a conversation about this in the office but no one can seem to agree. I want to know if it is safe to refreeze food after it has been cooked.
One of my fav home made meals is pork and chilli caserole. I boguht a loa dof diced pork and froze it. A couple of days later i defrosted the pork and then made the casserole. Once it had cooled i then refroze the left over portions. Is it safe to now defrost this food and eat it ?
I think it is as i have already done it once and i felt fine.
thanks for your help

Dig inside; inside is the fountain of good, and it will forever flow, if you will forever dig.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that!

Yes defintely ok to freeze once cooked. I`d love your port and chilli receipe
I only ever do chilli con carne and have never tried pork. I can get very cheap pork hocks (50p or 75p) from a local butcher so wonder if that would be ok

    The rule is -

Freeze once raw and once cooked.

It is definitely fine to buy raw meat and freeze it and then defrost it,cook it and freeze it.

What you mustn't do is defrost your made dish and then refreeze it.Although having said this I make stock and freeze it.Then I make soup with the defrosted stock and I freeze the leftover soup.Nobody's ever got ill from this.
