Estate Agents Not giving us the HIP

Bloody Estate Agents!!!!!!!

We have in place a solicitors and mortgage, but the estate agents insist on us having a credit check with them. Surely its no right of an estate agents? I get the feeling they are trying to sell us products?

Should i contact the vendor asking for her to provide the HIP that she paid for??

Thanks

  • sorry this post maybe in the wrong forum, can this be moved? :S
  • this should be in the buying selling renting forum. Anyway have you made an offer on the property? Secondly the agent has no right to credit check you. This would also leave unnecessary footprints on your credit file. Also why would they want to? like you said to sell something else...check what you earn? what you can offer? tell them to go jump.it is usually adviseable to not see a tied advisor as this could potentially be a conflict of interest Secondly it is a legal requirement to provide a HIP and yes you are entitled to see it if a prospective buyer(unless they do not have one)
    Good luck
