Tesco Loan - additional income, tenancy agreement
Hi there guys
Well I recently applied for a Tesco loan. Was approved in principle and asked to send in my tenancy agreement for my BTL flat for proof of income.
I was then turned down and since have appealed.
Speaking to the appeals officer today the reason they have turned me down is because the tenancy agreement isn't counter-signed by a solicitor and is basically a standard assured shorthold tenancy agreement which I have printed out and has been signed by myself and my tenants.
Last time I checked this is a legally binding contract and I do not see why this should need to have anything to do with a solicitor? They are professional tenants, fully referenced and have been paying their rent on time for the last 6 months and the contract is signed, dated and valid....
Just wondering if anyone has any advice on this matter? It seems rather infuriating that they have turned me down based solely on this?
Any advice greatly appreciated!
