My daughter is 5 and quite petite for her age. I have been buying her 5 - 6 tights which really are the next size up, and for whatever reason after a about 2 weeks they don't fit her anymore.
I have bought from: Next, Asda, Tesco & Sainsburys. She is costing me a small fortune, does anyone have the slightest clue what i am doing wrong..

Hi,
Are they shrinking? My 4 year olds from m and s bought last september, bout 5 pairs still fit? They go in tumble dryer and washer too.
Maybe try handwashing them? Or try the white long socks or trousers??Sober and Fabulous 4/1/10

even if they're not shrinking, I used to find tumbledrying seemed to thicken, even felt, the material a little. This made them too stiff to stretch properly so they seemed smaller0

Buy them 4 sizes up, then tumble dry them.:rotfl:make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Hi there
For winter I put my 6 year old in a mixture of long grey socks and grey/black tights (obviously not together :rotfl:)
I always dry tights on the airer pulling them out before I hang them up.

My daughter is petite as well. I found the Primark ones really good and DD prefered them to the M&S ones. They washed and lasted just as well as the more expensive ones. I never tumble dried them though. Good luck0

My daughter is 8 now and i've always had to but 3 or 4 years up as they always seem to shrink after their first wash.0
