  • This is my first attempt at this--hope it works! Glad to hear you're a big fan of the Superman films! I'm originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada--and was doing a summer job for an oil company in the city centre when they were filming Superman II. I had to leave the office to deliver some envelopes, and got to see them filming the opening scene when the car hits the fire hydrant and fills up with water. No sign of Christopher Reeve--just the stunt work. So I crossed the street and was walking past these industrial trailers--I bumped into this very tall man wearing a trench coat. I'm only 5' tall, so I looked up at a very orange-looking Christopher Reeve, and realized as his coat flapped open--wearing his Superman costume!! :j

ukcanucksomerset, great story I remember that scene and him pulling the lid off the roof. Meeting the great man himself - how fantastic!
