Lloyds TSB Customer Support Unit

Anyone got/had dealings with them? Are they able to offer consilidation loans to pay off exsisting debts etc? Our local branch recomended that we get in touch with them after they were unable to do anything for us. Any info would be much appreciated:) Thanks in advance
