My dr gave me a lotion that contained zinc...
might be worth taking your stuff either to a chemish, a proper health shop or your GP and seeing what they can suggest?Bump due 22nd September0 -

I have always had problem skin in that it was very dry and sensitive, I'm a total convert to spa find products.0 -
Hi,
I don't know much about this subject. However, I do find almay skincare stuff to be quite good and they are always hypoallergenic0 -
Thanks everybody! I just wanted to say I appreciate everyone taking time to post helpful things on here :T I've decided to stick with the DHC cleansing oil as I think that's the important bit, and it's not /that/ expensive compared to some of the other stuff out there. I'm going to try just plain glycerin soap instead of the DHC stuff, and a mix of aqueous cream and water instead of the moisturiser. I'm pretty sure toner isn't all that necessary and if it is the topical antibiotics I have probably do the same job because it's disolved in alcohol. Hopefully that's it sorted!
Suki - Sorry, I didn't mean to go off on a tangent there. I'm a bit touchy about the organic/natural/chemical free thing. I've tried a lot of organic, natural type skincare things and seem to be allergic to the main ingredients so I'm a bit biased:D I have stupid skin.
jenniewb - You're right, it's not all that expensive compared to the cost of trying out a load of new stuff again. I do have a tendency to just glob stuff on so I'll try cutting down and maybe it'll last longer.
completelylost - You weren't unhelpful at all! You might have something with the zinc deficiency, I should eat more leafy vegmy diet's been pretty poor recently.
saraht - I'll keep an eye out for that. I looked on their website but I couldn't find it on there though.
hayleythedaisy - I've already got a precription for acne - it's antibiotic dissolved in alcohol. I might ask the dr about that zinc lotion, although I'd've hoped they would have mentioned it by now if it'd help my skin!
jenhug - I've used the dead sea spa magic before, they keep sending me email vouchersTheir handcream is pretty good for when my hands are a bit dry but not yet got to the point where the skin starts cracking. The strong perfume would put me off putting it on my face, though. Also 'harmonised water'? :rotfl:Fanciest name for brine I ever heard! I love the way they name these things.
Thanks again guys, I'll update once I know if it works or not.:coffee:Coffee +3 Dexterity +3 Willpower -1 Ability to Sleep

Not a problem - didnt take it personally
My skin was always a complete mess till I started using products with as few additions as possible. So I use just the oils for cleansing and pure minerals as make up and sun protection. However I find that Avons moisturiser suits - and that's not exactly chemical free - so go figure
At the end of the day one size doesnt fit all - we have to go with what suits us0
