:THi everyone...usually quite good at this sort of stuff, but feeling very uncreative today.:p
Me and my partner have his sister and her husband to be coming to saty with us for the weekend. On saturday we are going for a curry, so that's sorted, but I am cooking tomorrow and can't decide what to make. It's for 4 of us, we all eat pretty much anything. I will be home about 5 and they are arriving about 7.30-8 so needs to take less than 3 hours, I dont have a slow cooker, no butchers nearby and no time to go so will have t o be available from supermarket
Get your creative juices flowing and suggest some yummy meals! Thanks :T

risotto is always good - and quick. you can ramp it up with garlic bread and a green salad. We go for smoked fish risotto, but veggie is lovely - great with fresh spinach and watercress stirred through. All should be available in a supermarket.0

LadyM - what do you have as core ingredients? It would be easier to suggest meals if we know the kind of things you have and like

Possibly pasta ?Carbonara? Or spicy tomato sauce with bacon and pasta, and some HM flat breads/garlic bread?
Spag bol? Chilli? Fish pie? HM burgers and wedges? Fishcakes and HM chips? Bubble and squeak?
There is a list of cheap tasty meals in the Grocery challenge - click here
Any of that any use?A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I would probably cook something like spag bol with garlic bread or chilli con carne. Make up a big pot so you have enough for seconds if they are big eaters. Any leftovers can be chucked in the freezer for another day.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0

Thanks for suggestions so far.
As for key ingredients, it doesn't matter because I am going shopping this evening. Meat dishes are good........2 caveman types lol."More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them." - Harold J. Smith:cool:0 -

Big pot of chili with crusty bread and an optional salad. As you are going for a curry they will be the type to enjoy spicy food. Can be done in the sc but dont ask me how as I dont own one. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0
