Thurs 4th Feb - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D
Good morning everyone
Hope all well today. I'm not bad, just very tired! I did go to Uni yesterday afternoon which was good...but I felt wiped out in the evening, my poor legs were like cotton wool...mad.
I have doctor appt today to review my medication...want to see if there's anything they can do to just get me back to normal a buit while I wait for the op.
So, quiet day for me....the sofa with my books....studying of course;)
List for today:

Hello everyone
Thanks for starting the thread Milly, sorry you are still feeling poorly.
Hello to all other posters - sorry I've been AWOL, not been too brilliant myself, going to GP today.
Not been good on a MSE front either...have paid deposit on a holiday and booked flights - gulp!
Now, for some of you that may be the norm, but I've not been on family hols without a tent and sleeping bag for years so it seems very expensive to me and I'm a bit in shock (never fear, I have got the cheapest price for everything- it's amazing the difference that different places charge for the same thing). Also getting withdrawal symptoms from not being able to take the kitchen sink with me! I have been saving but may have to move some from my car pot to my hols pot IYSWIM temporarily.
So, must get back to DFWing with a vengance and purpose. There doesn't seem to be much left to trim off my SOA apart from groceries, which I have reduced but know I could do a bit more. Hungry teenage boys can't half dint your shopping budget. Also have to go back to giving OH pocket money so he doesn't need to go to the cash machine !
Talking of OH he's going away this weekend ( no tent for him) to see the rugby with a group of friends - now that won't be cheap will it! He's saved for all planned expenses but needs to top up on the spends - arghhhh.
He'll be supporting Wales ( Cymru am byth!) - bob luc i pawb!
Have a great day everyone
