1 Month Loan praise (shocking I know!!)
Options
I know there is a lot of negative threads about payday loans on here but I just want to post a positive one!
I had 3 payday loans (1monthloan.co.uk, wageday advance, Payday Express) and was constantly rolling them over (stupid I know!!), finally decided to start doing something about them and this month decided to pay a bit off of 1 of them (1monthloan.co.uk).
Payday comes and the 2nd company (wage day advance) decide to take all the money even though I did roll it over (they just didnt seem to bother reading the request!).
This meant that the amount I had agreed to pay 1monthloan.co.uk didnt go through because I didnt have enough money.
After 1 phonecall they agreed to pass me to the debt collections department and only added £15 charges on for the bounced payment (fair enough). I have since spoken to the debt collections team and they have agreed to stop all interest so the money that I am paying is reducing the loan until it is paid in full. I didnt have to beg and plead and spend days phoning them, just 2 phonecalls and it was done.
All this was sorted out so easily and I am now 1 payday loan down, 1 with an arrangement to pay and the other 1 is still rolling over for the moment until I have paid off the 2nd one.
If Wageday Advance hadnt have taken all their money, I would probably still have the loans in 12 months time so I am quite grateful after my initial dismay!!

Do you have that in writing?0 -
hi ILW,
I dont have it writing yet but they have "said" it is being sent! shall wait and see.
I did get a letter yesterday when I got home saying that they will be adding loads of compound interest onto my loan because they still havent been able to collect the payment. I have phoned them again today to check everything is still ok, they said yes, the letter has just crossed in the post.
will wait and see if anything comes by the beginning of next week and if not shall be ringing them back!
I am probably being foolish but I do have "faith" that they will stick to their word!0
