Okay Liability order Served January 2009

Since then two letters, one In March 2009 from baliffs, one in September 09 asking me for my employment history. Solicitor on the case and nothing since

Daughter 25 soon. We get on very well and she was paid directly through childhood and PWC took the money off me even though she was on benefits and it was best to keep it hush hush for her/never knew CSA were involved

The original case is a IMA. Got data protection details from them in July 2009, it indicates a £4,000 debt, but the liability order is for £25,000.

never been to court in all thse years to discuss the matter and no court date has been set.

Q..Will they still keep pursuing until my daughter is 50, because the effort seems to be very poor to actually communicate on what is actually owed. They have no evidence that IMA was sent to a correct address in 1996 and whilst I am not so stressed out now, does make you wonder if they will keep pursuing?

I take it you have wrote to them and got an account breakdown .
  • The account breakdown they provided says £5 per week and money owed is 4k, but that was not a letter but in Data Protection Files??

Simply an IMA started up in 1996, without me even knowing anything about it until 2008 !!

They got LO Jan 2009 for 25k, they then sent one letter asking for work details back in June 2009. They simply have no details, even the address details are wrong.

    Nothing since

If they didn't have a confident address at the time what addresses are held on the system for you ?
Pay your £50 and go to NACSA on this one

I have been a member of NACSA, they were helpful. That 12 month is now up

got a private solicitor involved and since then, the threats have stopped which suggests to me they have nothing.

Baliffs letters last february, that stopped
CSA liabilioty order served..one letter than that stopped.

My solicitor focused on the address not being correct and the DATA Protection data stuff is so flimsy it would not stand up in court.

Thats why I guess, its not gone any further, no court date (never actually been to court) has been set or any further letters from the CSA. Well, thats the logical reason for this.
My case closed in 2005, my daughter actually went to university in 2004 and we are good speaking terms and she was paid directly as a child.

I suspect that no news is actually not good news, because I have yet to receive a letter that the matter is closed or that a figure owed is far less. Back in august it was passed onto the Jobseekers people, maybe because they felt I was claiming?

They have no proof whatsoever that I lived at the "confident Address" back in 1996, and whilst its for me to prove with my solicitor says they have to prove it too, if they want to pursue it.

Its not knowing or being kept up to date which is the big worry though.

Considering this case closed in 2005, is their a cut off point?

    Exactly

Why not call them or get lawyer to write to them an see what the state of play is as you are wanting the magic letter to say that the case is closed

Part of me wants to do that, but If I am relighting the fire so to speak, then I could be putting myself in the deep end and back to the demands by contacting them.

The way it stands just now is it could be bubling away in the backround .You are better to know so you are prepared then bang it all ahppening at once .
It is apparent that once they have got you by the short and curlys they won't let go .
