Quick shepherds pie question

Hi there
This is probably a really daft question but... I want to make a shepherds pie this morning to take round to a friend this evening, the aim was that I'd cook it and she could just zap it in the microwave to re heat.
Is it ok to do this? Would I cook the shepherds pie completely or is it best to just cook mince and add spuds and get her to cook later - I just didn't know how this would work reheating in the microwave. Also how long will the pie last if I make it today?
Thank you so much in advance xx I love this forum, read loads but rarely post

if i am doing one for later i cook the mince, put the mash on top and then leave it at that stage to put in the oven later. then i reheat for about 40 mins to heat and brown in the oven. if she is going to zap it then you need to do the browning in the first stage so it can be dinged... enjoy!!0
