Chris - Do you have umbrellas just in case??
I don't know if they still have them, but Primark did have some big clear umbrellas for about £3. I bought a couple for my sisters wedding, but in the end, didn't need them.

But - and I said this to my mum and my sister at the time - the only thing we can't do anything about is the weather, so there is no point in stressing about it.

The weather forecasts are changing daily anyway - so by Friday, those showers might be nowhere to be seen...!

Glad everything else is coming together though - will keep everything crossed for Saturday for you!
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??

Just to let you know that if you put real flowers into coloured water they will all turn blue (or whatever colour the water is). I'm sure you knew that but just in case you wonder where your white roses went!

Dont worry about the weather ~ if you panic, you will get your daughter panicking and so long as they aren't getting married outdoors, it will be fine!

I hope they have a fantastic day and of course hope you do too!!!

even if they were getting married outside it would be ok as everyone can use umbrellas. i am hoping for an outside garden wedding and I will be getting some cheap nice umbrellas for guests to be on the safe side. Whatever happens you can still have a lovely day.
  • Don't stress about the weather at all. We got married in November and had pretty torrential rain all day long - and managed to have a bbq being cooked on outside!! We were so happy to be getting married that it really didn't matter at all in the end and people have said they remember it cos we were the only people mad enough to consider a bbq in November!! :rotfl:
Plus our photographer was great and had brought background screens and lights so that we could do the photos indoors and they turned out great and look so different to the usual 'outdoors/trees in the background' photos that we might have had otherwise. :)
  • i am getting married a week sat and they are predicting sleet! Nothing you can do about weather, prepare for the worst anything better is a bonus, and be glad its not 4ft of snow again preventing anyone getting there! I will be checking out those primark umbrellas though!
    Good luck x

I don't know if Primark still have them, but worth a look - and if you have a "Range" near you, they had the same umbrellas for the same price.

We just didn't want to pay the £15 each for the "Cream wedding umbrella" so settled for £3 each from Primark - which I then loaned to a friend of mine who got married a month later - they needed them!!!

It poured down with rain on my parents wedding day. They got married in June!

    Just remember:

If it rains on your wedding day it washes your troubles away!

Thats what my mum was told!
