I am thinking about getting SKY OR SKY+

Hi

Am thinking about getting Sky or Sky+ (New Customer)

Whats the latest offers?

I have looked on SKY web site and can get SKY+ @ 4 Packages+Sky sports for £17.50 for first 6 months BUT BUT BUT got to pay £99 Equipment and £60 Standard installation costs

I happy about £17.50 for 6 months
But not keen on paying £159 one off charges

Can anyone help? OR can i get the monthly mix cheaper?

Stevie

You can go via Quidco for £50 cashback and then £10 credit from Sky for joining online.
Bet match total as of 04/10 = God Knows + About £1000 Quidco. Time for Mrs Huddsta to have a crack!!!

The Bronze Challenge - earn £250 in profits =£73.32

I got a card through the post the other day saying that if introduced a friend (I'd get nothing) but the friend would get sky + incl install for free!

Maybe worth ringing them up and asking about it

    Stevie hudds........

WARNING ........ Consider FREEVIEW first as in the long term it is much cheaper. If you are keen on SKY+ then consider getting a dual tuner PVR for FREEVIEW. The only reason I can think of that there is for getting SKY+ is that u can get SKY SPORTS (football etc) if you are not a sports fan I would get a FREEVIEW PVR dual tuner box (Humax and Topfield seem to be the brands of choice). As that will offer the same functionality of SKY+ but without the extortionate subscription charges.

If you are a movie fan then why not take advantage of the free dvd rental trials. Or sign up for one as I think they are around a tenner a month.

If you are rich then go ahead get sky+.

I personally still am hooked up to SKY+ as I am addicted to watching Liverpool matches but only because I am taking advantage of discounts offered by sky for remaining with them under the threat of leaving them for FreeView. Once Sky stop offering me generous terms then I will leave for Freeview. Having said that Sky+ is a great system ... easy to use .... BUT in reality expensive. Also if you want HD and want to take advantage of their Broadband offer (provided they supply in your area) then only then I would go for Sky+ with regular phone calls (3mths or so) asking for discounts.

    Hi
    Hope I can help.
We are moving house next week but have registered as new customers to get the best deal. Used my husbands e mail address.
We are having SKY + with 2 entertainment mixes and sky sports (this is free for 6 months) - will get all the movies we want through the free postal DVD's -.
Now we aren't paying anything for the box or the installation
The subs will be £15 for the 1st 6 months then the payment for SSports will kick in - but then it's only 6 months till we can start negotiating again!!!!
Did it online through Quidco so should get £50 + £10 back.
There maybe better deals out there but I think this is quite good and easy.
