I need help finding a similar ring to the one i've fallen in love with at tiffany&co

Options
I went shopping to manchester on saturday and stumbled across tiffany&co.

There sparkling out of the glass top was my perfect ring. I tried it on and oh boy i fell instantly in love with it, i havent seen anything like it but then again i havent been looking.

I asked how much it was :o

Thing is NOWAY will i pay £1725 for it.

Here it is.

I dont want a traditional ring, thats not me.

I know absolutely nothing about jewellery and diamonds etc, so i am calling on your expertise for some serious help.

We've been to loads of rings shops looking but i havent seen 1 i like, now looking on tiffany&co there are quite a few i like, but considering i live in scotland and the nearest shop is manchester which has a limited stock, most of it order in only then its down to london, which i just cannot do.

  • hello!

from my limited knowledge of jewellery, you're looking for a full eternity ring (stones all the way round) in diamonds and pink sapphires - is it only pink / a full eternity you're looking for? And what metal would you consider?

Remember, whatever metal you pick for your engagement ring will have to do your wedding ring as well - e.g. if you picked a 9ct / 18ct gold engagement ring a platinum (or any harder metal) might damage it over time. I think the cost will probably depend on your metal. Beautiful ring you've your eye on though!

    Try these?

I love the sytle of the ring, im not keen that its platinum. As my engagement ring is white gold. Most of the wedding rings / bands are very plain and smooth, i like thatthis has some detail.

Were going to take the picture to a jewellery makers and see if they can make or have anything very similar. If not we are going to get simple wedding bands.

Why not have a simple band, and aim to have this as an eternity ring at a later date?

Awww, I wish you hadn't posted this ring, it's gorgeous, I want it! OH will be so disappointed, I told him that my wedding band won't cost much!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Df said i could have it the money isnt the problem, I AM.

I refuse to pay that much for a ring, it just doesnt make sense in my head.

I think i spend to much time on this site, it has greatly encouraged me to save not splurge, having 3 small children i would rather have the money in the bank ''just in case''.

We can buy an expensive ring at any point in the future, its not like the dress, where you only have this 1 day to wear it, to me the ring is not the most important part of the day and our marriage.

Thats something i had never thought about, dont like to think about my demise.

I suppose a more expensive ring would stand the test of time and be something i could past down to my DD's.

Thats another thing to think about.

To me, it would make more sense to spend a large amount on the ring, as I will wear that every day, whereas I will only wear the dress for one day...but that is MY personal opinion.

I think the first of these looks very similar and if you check the specifications of each it has similar amounts of carats in stones to the Tiffany one. $750 works out at about £470 at the moment. Which isn't too bad.
