Sky discount - 95%!

Hello all! Not sure if if this is the right thread but it was the closest I could find. Maybe someone could move it for me if necessary?

Anyway, I'm moving out of home next week so have been calling all the necessary companies and providers to change my address and cancel/move services. I can't get Sky in my new place (stupid listed buildings and overprotective landlords :mad:) so called them to cancel my account. The very friendly man on the other end of the phone offered me a 95% discount for six months (bringing it down to 75p a month) in case I decided to move home and resume my subscription.

I'm not planning to move back here but this will mean that the parentals can make use of my Sky box for next to nothing.

All I had to tell him was that I was moving.. he didn't ask for any details of my new address. For all he knew I could have been telling big fat lies and just after a discount.

I did this aswell, got offered the 95% disscount, was told i could have it for 6 months to try and keep me, then when i di nove (2 weeks later) they put it back up to £15 telling me that it was just to keep my account active whilst i was not viewing it!

At no point was i informend this, when i tried to argue my case got told i got given the moving home offer for free (should have been £40).

Maybe i should call again and ask to cancel and see what they come back with!

I was so annoyed!
