Splitting up name not on morgatage

I'm in the process of splitting up from my partner of 4 years. The mortage is in her name and her mothers (i'm self employed and my accounts weren't strong enough at the time Dec 06) I think shes going to take me for everything, and very worried as i have spent a fortune improving the house, we have a valuation taking place on Friday because she wants to buy me out, this is not what i want but i can't afford to buy her out as i've spent all my savings/earnings on the house. Its all fairly amicable but she is the one that wishes to split. I really don't know what to do. HELP!
