Employer has changed maternity policy - please advise

    If they pay an extra 25% for your first year of returning then that is (or was) very generous compared to any sector I know of. What sector are you in? A very tiny % of companies pay more than statatory requirement (which as an employer and a mum I actually think is more than fair).

    I take your point completely about feeling unhappy about not getting the same benefit as colleagues have in the past. I think it is probably exactly that though - a benefit not a right and therefore can be pulled just like many other perks have been lately.
