I sent a CCA request to Fairfax solicitors on 11th January. Amongst all the silly phone calls, general incompetant, generic letters, they didn't send me what i requested. I did enclose the postal order and sent it recorded delivery. I saw who had signed for it and when, they tried to say they hadn't got it. I gave his name.
Long story short.
I sent the follow up letter, to say you haven't responded to my CCA request and you now have thirty days.
And they have sent me.
We are now informed by our clients that in order to resolve this account we can offer a significant discount ( in bold) to enable settlement payment to clear the account balance. This offer of a reduced settlement figure is subject to specific time limitation and you must therefore call this office to discuss the offer and make arrangements.
If you fail to contact this office in ten days then the offer will be withdrawn and full claim will be outstanding with appropriate action being continued in respect of the same.
Do I ignore this and await for them to respond to the CCA request. ??

Looks like they havent got the paperwork to me. If you can afford to settle (and are willing to) then you could perhaps counter offer with a lower amount. If you don't want to (or can't afford to) settle, then just ignore them until they come up with the agreement."Life is a sexually transmitted disease....... with a 100% mortality rate"0
