Hello,
It's my grandad's 85th birthday at the end of this month & I am stuck for ideas......
I want to get him something special as he is not very well at the moment (he suffered a mini stroke at the weekend due to the stress of moving - he had lived in his previous home for 60 years). He doesn't drink & isn't into gadgets, music, books, DVDs, etc. Every year, the family buy him socks or gift vouchers lol. I was thinking along the lines of a cream tea hamper or personalised cupcakes?? I'd like to get him something that he can share with my nan. My budget is £40. If anybody has any ideas/website recommendations, I'd be very, very grateful. I'd have to order it online & send it to him as he lives far away from me.
Thank you x

what about a newspaper from the day he was born. I am sure you can get duplicate ones from the times etc... they would both have fun reading it I am sure and it would bring back memories. You could maybe get a few - the day they were married - the day your parent was born.... etc. Not sure how much these things cost but it is a bit different to socks...0
