here I go again................
Another couple of days into the month and things still not to bad.
Friday night dgs stayed, he's 2yrs old and it was his mum's b/day.
He wasn't very well all night, so Saturday we didn't go out all day, which meant another no spend day :j
I cut his hair Saturday and today when I rang my son, he gave baby the phone while he went off to find a pen.
When my dgs heard my voice he said 'Grandma where's my hair...........put it back' then hung up on me :rotfl:
Yesterday I went to library with DH and got some books on quilting and he picked up a book I'd ordered for him.
The lady at the desk made his day by saying he looked at least 20yrs younger than his age, then flirted with him :undecided
Still it was Valentines day.
Wish someone would say I look even 5yrs younger
So another no spend day.
Lovely late afternoon and evening doing nothing really.
Today I'm at home 'catching up' on house bills and trying to find a new life insurance, had a letter saying our old one runs out in March.
Where did that 10yrs go????????
Still haven't thought what I'm going to say next week at funeral

Lucky for me I guess, someone recognised me and wanted an interview, which being polite I did
LL, are you famous then?
Good effort, by the way. Keep it up!
DutchyToto, something tells me we're not in Kansas anymore......0 -
Another good day today, its getting a little easier (dare I say?)
Had a catch up day, then signed up to 'seefilmfirst' thingy, and was offered 2 free tickets straight away to a play tomorrow
This afternoon I went to my accupuncture appointment, normally 1hr, today 2 1/2hrs! Came out feeling great though. Had a 'cupping' treatment as well as the needles........................FREE!
Usually after a session I walk through the shopping mall and spend, today I only bought a lemon (for the pancakes) 20p, 4 bananas 38p, loaf of bread 50p.
Roll on tomorrow....................

If your craft class think you're terribly poor, tell them it's a challenge that you are writing up online for other people to read, and that it's just for fun, to see if it's possible.
I admire you for your challenge.
I did a '£150 for the month's food' personaly challenge last spring and it changed the way I look at money permanently. Someone at work recently made a comment about buying a DVD and it only cost £10, to which I had to reply that £10 could be a week's meat rations for two people, so £10 was a lot. We're all reasonably well-paid at work so I got some funny looks.
The long term good done by my challenge means we are now saving a lot more money each month.
So keep at it. Just the constant awareness will have lasting benefits.0 -
LilacLillie you are doing great - can you believe, people, she turned down the offer of accompanying me to Waitrose to look for yellow stickered goods! This takes some strength of character in my books! Well done, I am in a total state of admiration for your determination. Keep up the good work, it is less than two weeks to March! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

Now even I am finding that hard to believe!
No spend day on Wednesday, thanks to Caterina for buying me a cuppa to help me not spend :j its so good having support, I really don't think I could do it alone.
2 Free tkts to The Old Vic to see 'Six degrees of seperation'.
I think we both nodded off till the 2 naked men started jumping around the stage, both stayed alert after that hoping they'd come back
Wednesday night stop over at son's house, to mind sick dgs who wasn't well enough for nursery on Thursday.
Cut DS hair, saving him money. Saying that have cut it since he was born, so saving him lots of money!
When he went to Oz for a year he never had a haircut
MSE in the making?
Thursday: With dgs all day, baked red and green fairy cakes!
On the way home I couldn't resist a sugar treat, bought 4 muffins in Tesco for £1
That is all I bought which is unheard of for me in Tesco.
Even Tesco have noticed my absence, got 2 till spits, haven't had any for months.
Friday: Waiting in for a delivery of a free gift from Body Shop that they have already sent out twice and I haven't received them.
All my exciting bits from post are not arriving
Later (if it arrives) meeting some friends I've not seen since before Xmas.
Making today another NSD :j
It is making me think very hard about money. Like being on a diet and all you can think of is food I guess??
