I have a car loan with Welcome via Carcraft. Its almost halfway through, so as per the agreement I want to hand the car back and end the agreement. I can't find any contact details for them. Their website is blank. Are they in recievership? The customer service at Carcraft said they were, if so who are the recievers? I'm not bashing them, thay have been very good to me, I have had no problems witth them but would like to contact them. Cheers.

    Hi
Welcome ARE NOT in receivership or administration. Call head office in Ruddington on 0115 9849200 and they will put you through to the local office, or if your account is held in one of the central offices they can put you through so you can sort the voluntary termination
  • I did this in Dec. I sent a recorded letter ending the agreement to the Nottingham address as that was the address on my hire purchase agreement. I had no acknowledgement of the letter, but at the same time i cancelled the DD and that resulted in a phone call from them asking why i had cancelled it.

I explained it was due to VT and they tried to scare me by saying id owe x amount, politelty told them they had 1/2 the money and i was within my rights to do this. They then tried the tactic of saying they had not got the letter and i said i had a signature to prove delivery of it and told them where it was sent. Then told my account was held at Lincoln and i should of sent the letter to that address, i asked how was i mean't to know it was at Lincoln when my agreement had the Nottingham address on it.

Eventually they did the VT on my account over the phone. That was on the 28th Dec. The car was collected on the 7th Jan.

I don't know if this number is of any use:

    01522 542194

I am now having to contact them due to a letter from then saying i owe £357.22 due to arrears and this was the number in my letter to contact them.

I had no problems with them whilst i was a customer, but they certainly are not organised as the VT went through fine, got a letter confirming it with a breakdown of liability costs telling me someone would contact me regarding collecting the vehicle. They did and it was collected very quickly, no hassle, job done.

Then i get this stupid letter.....

Anyway hope the number is useful.
