Do you know something - I HATE all the sarcasm & bigotry on this board - it's doing the concept, the ethos and the philosphy of this whole site a huge diservice.

It should be fun, enjoying, sharing and even helping others (!)- what on earth are some logging on for? - just to bash down genuine others who find something they want to share but just haven't seen or known about, or realise where to post or that it has been posted before? .... or because they enjoy pointing out mistakes publically or like to make people feel stupid?

I've kept quiet about this so far hoping for a change of attitude but sometimes it's time to speak out:

It doesn't matter if someone posts a duplicate thread or posts something in the wrong place - they are genuinally trying to share with others. Accept they are posting genuinally for others to enjoy and if mistakes occurr in the process ..... so be it ...... Why on earth start a public display or a dispute with someone who has posted in good faith?

No room to discuss further here and know is going 'off topic'.... but so against all this personal and public agenda against other members .....

Lets keep this thead, board, forum and site for others to enjoy ... let the board guides merge (without sarcastic comments to friendly, genuine posters) - otherwise people will be scared off and it will spoil the whole idea and enjoyment for everyone.

I do agree that posts in the wrong forum and duplicate threads should be moved, but that said gill did post genuine, and good offers and I have to say the response they got was overly snippy.

It is sad to see really and it will put people off.

Well done to pip26 for bravely speaking out...

I too have had my confidence bashed a bit after posting on a couple of occasions......And have seen other peeps berated for their posts/links on various topics/threads...

Its not what the site is about really is it?...Sure I understand the need for organisation etc and things would all go to pot otherwise...But sometimes I get the feeling of almost being back at school...I hesitate greatly now before posting any links etc...

Thanks to EVERYONE who has posted...good or bad...duplicate or not...

Thankyou Pip26 for a voice of reason....Honestly, there are far more important things and 'crimes' in this world to get het up about...as someone who doesn't enjoy the best of health I honestly mean it..trust me. No-one should ever be put off posting trying to benefit themselves and in turn others they've never met.

I agree with the other posters about the sarcastic and downright rude comments about posts that may not be exactly in the right forum or may be duplicate posts, at the end of the day the OPs are doing us a big favour by finding these offers/freebies and taking the time to let us know about them, slapping posts down and being critical only makes people less inclined to share things.

If posts are in the wrong place or duplicated can people not just add a comment after they have thanked the OP rather than just posting a comment saying "Already Posted" or "In the Wrong Place". Abrupt comments are very rude and don't instil confidence in OPs to re-post.

If you find yourself trawling through threads and posts looking for mistakes and errors then perhaps it is you who are posted in the wrong place and in need of moving somewhere different
