Debt Advice

I am really looking for some guidance, i have credit card debits of around £8800, and a loan of about £2700, i am constantly going overdrawn and finding it difficult to get out of the vicious circle. I cant get move any of my crediit cards to other ones as i cant get the right amount of credit for any so 2 of my cards are currently ones i am paying him rates for. i have closed these 2 cards so that i can no longer use them and i only have my other for emergencys which is currently at its limit. I never want another credit card EVER again. i am due to be given a payout soon of about £2600, i am thinking of clearing my current loan with that and then getting a new one for my CC's is this a good idea?i feel its the only way i can get around it and knowing where i will stand each month with money, any advice is very welcome please i am desperate!!

  • So you want to swap a loan debt and a cc debt for one debt? Interest wise etc how much would you save???
Why not post your SOA up here (see the sticky at the top of the forum)

  • i havnt fully checked out with my bank yet what the rate would be for a loan but going on what they gave me last time it would be better, and the loan was for around the same amount as what i would need now. Whats SOA?

i hadnt to be honest, i had tried for bank account charges but obviously didnt get anything like many people, maybe i should try claiming for my credit card charges then.

    Thanks!
  • i just feel that a loan would be my easiest way out, if i had the same as last time i know i can clear in 3 years at the most but where i am now i dont no when i could clear it
  • How would getting a loan to replace a debt help (it's just renaming a debt)

  • For SOA see the sticky at the top of the forum, go to the forum index and its near the top. By filling one in you let us nosey lot see how you spend your money lol. That why other sets of eyes can suggest ways of helping, on things you may have missed etc

  • A new CC with a lower rate may be better, but until people know what you spend monthly then we can not advise. I am notup to speed with APR's, balance transfers, but someone may look at your SOA and suggest "such and such" CC or etc.
