Barker & Lowe legal recoveries, anyone heard of them?

OK to start with, I am on DMP and have a payday loan which is on the DMP, its with Wonga and I have been telling them I am working with CCCS to sort this payday loan out etc. I know they received 1 payment from CCCS last month and I am expecting another one to be accepted off the debt anytime soon.

I have received an email from wonga's email address saying they are Barker & Lowe but when i googled their number and name, nothing is found. Just wondered if anyone had heard of them or whether my suspicions are right, that this is just wongas own made up company to try to scare people a little.

Never heard of them but it probably their in-house collections trying to sound scary.

Just carry on as you are with CCCS.

OK thanks, did think that with it being sent from wonga.com's email address and the very poor graphics of their logo etc.

Can not post links to my source but Wonga have used made up recovery companies in the past.
Does your e-mail have a company number for Barker & Lowe legal recoveries?? As in Reg number not telephone

As Solicitors they should be an LLP, I know Ltd Companies have to include regisitered address's on correspondance, not sure if LLP's have to
Barker and Lowe do not exist according to Companies House ?????
Will check into their number

Have you tried ringing Barker & Lowe on their number???? I just have lol and what a surprise the automated response was "Thank you for calling wonga.com, our offices are now closed

oh and look at this taken from the wonga.com website "Alternatively you can call our customer care team on 0871 288 5704, or our collections team on 0844 842 9109"

Wonder whose number you get if you change that 09 at the end of their collections team to 10..................lol

Yes I tried calling also lol and also got the automated message. Ill look at that number on their site, didnt think to check that. They are sods arent they.

Bully boy tactics, if you want to complain try these people "Balderton Capital Management" they back wonga.com. Sure they would not be happy they are investing in a company that abuses it's position
