mortgage when in temp employment

Hi, I currently own a home mortgage free and am considering various things including buying an investment property (long term, before anyone says anything!), buying another property to renovate and sell on, or moving to a larger property. All of these would require a mortgage. I am currently not working, but do have a private income, however I am unable to secure a mortgage due to my income streams not being recognised by lenders I have approached.

I am looking to apply for various temporary jobs (4-6 months). Would I be able to secure a mortgage with 3 months payslips? Would a lender know that my job is temporary? Would they ask? Would they care? Or would the fact that I could produce 3 months full time payslips be all that they require?

Thanks.

Olias

    Yes, Yes and Yes :(

They ask for a confirmation letter for the job plus your last 3 wage slips.

My OH is going to have to get a perm post, just so we can get that extra 30k mortgage, although he is most happy in temp jobs - and he doesn't get as bored :P
